I have a B.A. in Philosophy from Yale University, and a Ph.D. in Philosophy from UCSD. I have taught Ethics, 19th and 20th Century European Philosophy, Mass Media Ethics, Business Ethics, Introduction to Philosophy, and Logic. I have taught at SDSU since 1997. My specialization is ethics and political theory. My research is centered on the point of collision between feminine ethics and liberalism. In particular, I am interested in the moral implications in relations of dependence, especially the increasingly global web of dependence disguised as the actions of independent economic agents. I received a B.A. from SDSU in 1971 and a Ph.D. from Wayne State University in 1978.  My areas of specialization were metaphysics and philosophy of mind. More recently I have been primarily concerned with logic.

Sean Meighoo received his Ph.D. in Social and Political Thought from York University (Toronto, Canada) in December 2004. His research and teaching interests span the following areas: structuralism and poststructuralism; phenomenology and existentialism; Marxist theory and cultural studies; postcolonial and critical race theory; feminist and queer theory; South Asian and East Asian philosophy.
